Quotes

The quote that sticks out to me the most in Macbeth is, "Fair is foul, and foul is fair" (Act 1 Scene 1 Line 12). It isn't that long and it seems like something stupid, but it has a lot of meaning. Fair means like it acceptable to do; then foul is disgusting, revolting, and not acceptable to do. So it is kind of  a paradox.

"First Witch: All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!
Second Witch: All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cowdor!
Third Witch: All hail, Macbeth! that shalt be king hereafter!"
This quote changed the mood of the book. It was a big driving force into Macbeth's drive for power. It is basically saying Macbeth will be the king so he is going to do anything to get his way and he succeeds.

Big Idea: Power

Throughout the book Macbeth and Lady Macbeth both express obsession with power. Macbeth especially loves the power. Power drove him to become the physicopath he is. The power was a result of King Duncan's murder. When ever the witches gave him the prophesy, that he may be king, he wanted to be in power so bad he killed many innocent people.

Lady Macbeth loved power as well. She wanted Macbeth to be in power so she can also be in control. She arranged all of the murder and told many lies. She told the lies to cover up the deaths of innocent people. While achieving the power she also felt guilt and that lead her to killing herself.

Free Post: SprangggBreakk

My Spring Break was not as fun as some people. Many people went to NYC, Disney World, and the beach. I went to the best state in the country, Tennessee. I have family in Tennessee more specifically Germantown which is a small town outside of Memphis. I also played lots of video games, went to an LSU baseball game, and went to some peoples houses.

Tennessee is so much fun. I got to play with my cousins, my grandmother, my brother, and my niece. We went to church on easter sunday and it was very enjoyable. The LSU baseball game was also very fun. LSU played Tennessee in a thriller Tennessee won 6-3. Overall I had a pretty fun spring break.

Women are more compassionate and less violent than men. The women act like proper people and don't attempt to kill people every scene unlike the men.

If something is destined to happen, it will happen without your interference. You control your own fate. God has a plan and even if you make the wrong mistakes he draws up a new fate and everything will be good in the end. When you interfere with fate you are just making a new fate.

Charlotte

I choose the song Charlotte by Huey Mack. The song is about Huey Mack, but his real name is Joseph Cisley. It is about how his dad left him and his mom. The point of the song is to thank his mom for everything she did for him. He was confused as a kid, but now he understands every thing. His mom has cancer and all he wants to do is to take care of her. He thinks that she is amazing because she raised two kids by herself and he just wants her to know that he loves her even when she might think differently.

There are many different things you can analyze in this song. Songs are basically poems with music. In the hook there are a few cesuras but when it is the main songs there are commas but they aren't cesuras. There are no onomatopoeia. I can't really find any other techniques.

God Poem

God is the artist
He changes the darkness of night
To the brightness of daylight
He places the stars in the sky
The moon so high, up in the sky
He splashes blue and makes water
Snow of white in the winter
He colors the leaves in fall
God makes it all
We worship him, for he made the day
Which some people dread
and want it to fade away
You can't see him
But sometimes you can feel him
It's more of a blind faith
And for that he gives us grace.
